ABOUT CLOUD SERVICE

NIWC Pacific has established the Naval Research & Development Establishment Cloud (NR&DE) Cloud to provide Naval Research & Development Establishment labs and its developers with Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, security services, and development tools via a Commercial Cloud Service Provider (CCSP).

This allows for a secure development, testing, and staging environment for tactical, afloat, ashore, and hardened systems.

It provides an environment to develop and test new capabilities for the warfighter.


WHAT IS NR&DE CLOUD

The Department of Navy (DON) NR&DE is focused on experimentation and development of software created for Tactical, Afloat, Ashore, and Hardened Systems, leveraging available development tools, infrastructure, and complimentary security services provided by the Commercial Cloud Service Provider (CCSP).

CUSTOMER ONBOARDING PROCESS

1) Onboarding Meeting

Request is received on NR&DE portal – customer support team schedules an onboarding meeting.

NIPR Access with CAC only.

2) Quote and Funding

NR&DE provides a quote & customer responds with funding to proceed.

3) Account Creation

When network plumbing is complete – customer receives welcome email with access instructions.
